Hanno Böck started an approach on changing the license of the gatos TV out code from GPL to MIT/X11. He finally had success and is now planning on merging the patch into the X11 driver. The patch needs some adjustments to work with latest git and needs some review by someone with knowledge of R200 hardware. This patch only helps R200 hardware, R3xx is not covered by this patch.
